Armed Security Guard – Retired LEO ONLY 

Salary: $20.00 – 25.00 per hour depending on experience

Job Purpose

Maintains a safe and secure environment for clients and protectees by patrolling, monitoring and screening property and personnel.

Duties

• Prevents losses and damages by responding to emergencies, reporting irregularities, informing violators of policies and procedures, and restraining trespassers.
• Secures property and personnel by patrolling, scanning facilities, grounds and access points, and by controlling entry points.
• Maintains a secure and safe environment by monitoring access control systems.
• Completes reports from recorded observations, information, occurrences and surveillance activities, and questions visitors.
• Maintains the organization’s integrity and reputation by complying with operational, procedural and legal requirements.
• Ensures that security equipment is functioning regularly by conducting preventive maintenance, following the manufacturer’s instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and evaluating new equipment and techniques.
• Contributes to the team’s effort by accomplishing related activities as needed.
