Rose M. Aurigemma (nee: Morrone), 92, of Hoboken, passed away peacefully on Wednesday November 11, 2015 at the Tallwoods Care Center in Bayville, NJ. Born in Lyndhurst, Rose was a proud resident of Hoboken working for 30+ years as the recreation coordinator for the mile square city. She even worked for Keuffel & Esser for over ten years. Rose also greatly enjoyed her trips to Atlantic City.
She is predeceased by her husband, Andrew Aurigemma in 2004; brothers, Carmine, Anthony, and Joseph Morrone; and sisters, Anna Clapp, Agnes Sherry, and Angelina DeFrank.
Rose will be sadly missed by her only son, Hoboken Police Officer, State Delegate, and Sixth Vice President of the New Jersey State Policemen’s Benevolent Association, Mark A. Aurigemma and his wife Kathleen; and her cherished grandchildren, Annette and Andrew Aurigemma.
The Funeral Mass will be offered on Saturday November 14, 2015 9:30 AM at St. Francis RC Church, Hoboken. Interment with her late husband will follow at Holy Name Cemetery, Jersey City. Cintinuous visitation will be held on Friday November 13, 2015 beginning at 3 PM and concluding at 8 PM.
Valet parking is available in rear of memorial home off Sixth Street.
