In collaboration with colleagues across Operations and other members of the Public Safety team, direct New York University’s security and safety contracted services, including but not limited to transportation services, security guard services, and global monitoring services. Direct and oversee the training delivery, card services and equipment maintenance functions of Public Safety ensuring a high level of support and services. Supervise and provide guidance to direct reports. Partner with Campus Safety and other members of the Public Safety team to identify potential areas of support and evaluate and implement additional programs as needed.
Min 7 years progressively responsible experience in a University, police or private protection security management position or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must include experience with staff supervision and development and maintenance of technology systems.
Excellent administrative, organizational, written and verbal communication skills. Well-developed managerial skills. Strong customer service orientation. Domestic and international travel opportunities may exist but not anticipated to be required. Scheduled office hours subject to adjustment as needed to accommodate other time zones.
Master’s degree in Security Administration, Information Technology or related field.
Related experience in an academic environment.
Bachelor’s degree.
