Italian American Police Society of New Jersey

President’s Message – January 1994 ( # 1)

President’s Message

The holiday season has passed, a new year, and my second  term as your president is about to unfold.  Words cannot express my appreciation for being asked to serve another term as president of New Jersey’s  first and largest organization of Italian American Law Enforcement officers.   The honor is even more meaningful since our membership numbers well over 1,000 and is derived from approximately 150 agencies.   One of the goals for my second term, with your cooperation, is to increase the membership to 3,000.

In addition to the membership expansion and the annual scholarship awarded by the society in memory of Trooper Philip Lamonaco, we will introduce a second scholarship in memory, of Lieutenant Rocky Nisivoccia,  formerly with the Essex County Prosecutors Office and a charter member of our society.   This is the first publication of the Italian American Police Society news.   I encourage all members to submit articles and announcements of interest to our membership.   I thank you for your continued support and extend to all members my best wishes for a Happy and Healthy new Year.
